Overview
Academic programmes offered by SSST are designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives needed to address some of the most pressing sustainability challenges of the twenty-first century. Rooted in science and engineering, and enriched by insights from economics, policy, and the social sciences, our programmes prepare students to develop innovative solutions that are environmentally responsible, economically viable, and socially equitable.
While SSST initial academic programmes focus on Energy Systems, Sustainable Manufacturing, and EESG, it envisions a broader future that includes agricultural and food systems, rural development, ecosystem services, and addressing other sustainability challenges requiring integrated, systems-based solutions.
Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and global sustainability frameworks, SSST offers a flexible and interdisciplinary learning ecosystem that integrates classroom instruction with experiential learning, research, industry engagement, and real-world problem solving.
Degree Programmes
B.Tech Degree Programme
Flagship undergraduate programme to be launched soon. This programme will be designed to create Industry X.0-ready sustainability professionals capable of leading sustainable transformations across manufacturing, energy systems, governance, and society.
The programme combines a strong foundation in engineering and sustainability sciences with advanced specialization.
B.Tech – M.Tech Dual Degree Programme
Students demonstrating strong academic performance may opt for an additional year of advanced study and research leading to a B.Tech.–M.Tech. Dual Degree.
